Faros sits at the front of Kardamena's main beach — the first place you reach when you come down to the water. There is no road to cross and no walk to the sea. You step off your sunbed and you are at your table.
We were one of the first restaurants in the village, and we have had this stretch of beach since 1978. That position is the honest reason people come back.

We work a lot of fresh fish — sea bass, bream, swordfish, sardines, octopus, grilled whole and simply. Alongside it there is the Greek cooking you would expect, the grill, and pizza, pasta, burgers and a proper kids' menu.
Nothing here pretends to be fine dining. It is a beach restaurant: generous plates, fair prices, and food that arrives while the children are still hungry.
The beach empties. We stay open.
The kitchen runs until eleven and the bar until midnight. Same tables, same sea — just quieter, and lit.
